Development of a new methodology for solidification products made of hazardous waste durability evaluation
Hodul, Jakub ; Donát, Pavel (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
This thesis deals with a new methodology of durability evaluation of solidification product prepared from hazardous waste based on a review of the current state assessment of stabilized/solidificated wastes. The aim of the thesis is to evaluate the current knowledge from the field of the stabilization/solidification and to draft the optimal methodology for experimental verification of solidification products to guarantee sufficient quality of carried out solidification and safe utilization in the field of the building industry.
Solidification product made of hazardous waste and possibilities of its launch to the market
Hodul, Jakub ; Snop, Roman (referee) ; Drochytka, Rostislav (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with the possibility of using solidification technology to transform the hazardous waste with the aim to achieve the material utilization of solidification products. The aim of the thesis is to determine a suitable solidification formula for solidification product made of hazardous waste that will ensure properties of the solidification product, those will allow its placing on the market.
Mapování obsahů toxických kovů v zeminách v oblasti Hranic a Teplic nad Bečvou
Kotásková, Michaela
This thesis focuses on the occurrence of toxic metals, specifically Mo, Sr, U, Rb, Th, Pb, As, Zn, Cu, Ni, Cr, and V, in the soil environment of Hranice Karst. Forest soils, soils in the Bečva River valley, and arable soils were examined, with a focus on locations with possible contamination (waste landfill, cement plant). Samples were taken according to the manual for geochemical mapping, both from the surface and at a depth of 25 cm. Subsequently, concentrations of toxic metals were measured in the collected samples using an X-ray fluorescence spectrometer, and the basic geochemical properties of the samples were evaluated. The determined values and calculated pollution indices were compared with legislative requirements for limit concentrations of metals in soils, with a selected reference location (NPR Hůrka), and with each other. The work is supplemented with maps of the concentrations of individual elements in selected locations created in the Geographic Information System. The thesis concludes with the concentrations of measured metals and metalloids present in the soil, including the locations of their occurrence in relation to the nearby cement plant and municipal waste landfill. The mapped environment of the Hranice Karst has been evaluated as an environment with only slightly elevated levels of certain elements.
Is it possible to increase the efficiency of separate waste collection to achieve the necessary reduction in calorific value and increase the biological stability of mixed municipal waste?
Novotný, Matěj ; Innemanová, Petra (advisor) ; Matějíček, Luboš (referee)
The bachelor's thesis deals with the topic of processing mixed municipal waste in the Czech Republic and the possibilities of diverting biodegradable waste in such a way as to increase the biological stability of the waste deposited in municipal waste landfills and to fulfill the goals of limiting the landfilling of municipal waste as stipulated by the new waste law. At the same time, it deals with the approaches of neighboring countries, which also address the need to reduce the volume of landfilled municipal waste by 2030 in accordance with the requirements of the European Union. In the practical part, five samples of mixed municipal waste are subsequently analyzed and the possibilities of diverting individual components are discussed here. Key words: waste, biodegradable waste, landfilling, waste composition
Poplatky za ukládání odpadů a jejich dopad na daňové příjmy obcí
Nejerál, Vojtěch
This thesis deals with fees for waste disposal and their influence on the budgets of municipalities, which are their recipients. Fees for waste disposal are defined in Act No. 185/2001 Coll. on waste. Under this law, the waste producer is obliged to pay a fee for each tonne of waste when it is landfilled. The income from waste disposal fees is, in the present state, the exclusive income of the municipality in whose territory the landfill is located. Due to the development of European waste policy, which is retreating from landfilling of waste, changes in Czech waste management legislation are expected. In this work, these changes are analyzed and their impact is quantified on examples of specific municipalities. The quantification of changes in waste disposal fees and their impact on municipal budget revenues will result in predictions of future revenues from waste disposal fees. This prediction is carried out on four municipalities of different sizes, where their current management is evaluated and a proposal and calculation of future financing is made, given the decrease in revenues from waste disposal fees. In conclusion, the results of individual municipalities are compared and recommendations are defined.

Modernization of the waste management system
Šofr, Jan ; Strnad, Zdeněk (advisor) ; Glaser, Lukáš (referee)
The aim of this thesis is to suggest the right solution for the current situation of a disposal dump located close to the town of Lány in Middle Bohemia. There are two possible solutions how to continue with the project, either leaving the current state of the disposal dump or building an integrated centre for mechanical -- biological treatment of the waste. Taking into account economical calculations and other factors like time factor, investment amount, expected year profit, payback period, changes in european legislation and others, I have deciced to suggest one more solution. In my opinion the most efficient way for solving the situation is using financial support from Operational Programme Environment in a field Waste Management Improvement and buy composting and sorting line .
Skládka komunálního odpadu Kozlany a její dopad na životní prostředí obce a nejbližšího okolí
Pašek, Lukáš
The aim of this thesis is the description of the waste dump in Kozlany and its impact on the environment of the area. The study is a research on the landfill of waste and their potential impact on the environment. In the thesis is characterized Kozlany village and its surroundings, including a landscape ecological context of that locality. It also describes the waste dump, its equipment, including the operation of the waste dump. For the evaluation if the impact on the environment was selected control measurements of groundwater seepage and rainwater, which was compared with the corresponding standards. Among the observed values showed that the waste dump does not have a significant impact on the environment.
